Dash Cam OBD Hardwire Kit for Dashcam, GPS or Radar

We started our journey as a dashcam accessories supplier, and our goal was to develop a hardwire kit with enhanced functionality to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

One of the common issues with hardwire kits is that they often cut off power when the engine is turned off. However, with the growing prevalence of start/stop features in modern vehicles, we recognized the need for a solution that could maintain power supply during temporary engine stops. Our hardwire kit now features a time-delay function to address this, ensuring uninterrupted power delivery.

Another challenge we faced was ensuring compatibility across different dashcam brands. The reason for this is that the Type-C connector utilizes a different ACC signal port (A5-B5 or A8-B8) compared to others, which can sometimes lead to compatibility issues.

To provide a comprehensive solution, we designed our OBD/OBD II Dash Cam Hardwire Kit with the following key features:

Voltage Input: 12V-24V | Output: 5V/3A Length: 3.5 meters (11.5 ft.) Connector Type: USB Type C

Compatibility: The OBD charger cable is designed to work with the majority of dashcams, GPS devices, radar detectors, and other electronic devices with a USB Type-C connector. However, it's important to note that this unit does not function with electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Battery Protection: The dash cam hardwire kit is equipped with a smart low-voltage protection system that automatically cuts off power when the battery voltage drops to 11.6V, preventing it from draining the battery and ensuring enough voltage to start the car for the next drive.

Plug & Go: Installation is straightforward – simply plug the unit into the car's OBD slot, connect it to the dashcam, test the power supply and parking mode function, and then neatly hide any excess wires.

Parking Mode / ACC Mode: Users can choose between two modes based on their parking environment. The "ACC Mode" (Mode "0") will power off the OBD hardwire kit in 20 minutes when the car engine is off, while the "Parking Surveillance Mode" (Mode "-") will keep the power cable working until the car battery voltage drops to 11.6V, providing low-voltage protection.
